Answers: The best thing roughly speaking owning a cockatiel is that they are very affectionate. Sometimes I think mine understands me! You enjoy to handle them from early on though, and make certain they have alot of attention daily. I leave mine out of the pen as long as I am home and can keep an eye on her, which is usually most of the light of day! There is no correct time, but I would say at least a couple of hours a daylight! As for the cage, the biggest you can afford would be the best! They love to move around and play with different things. Keeps them occupied! However whether you can't afford a big cage, just make certain that he fits in it comfortably and take him out often so he can stretch his wing! Good luck, hope Christmas comes fast for you!
