Birds like fruits,vegetables,and seed.For water,tap will work,and bottled will too.They need attention,and some will stir crazy chirping,pecking at bars,and jumping around if it is overlooked.The best
way to make them be quiet is to cover their cage with a blanket.They like toys,and shiny things.They need perch to stand on,preferably different sizes.No:chocolate,coke,and don`t put their cages near garden windows or over vent.
Answers: First and foremost, you have to decide you're ready for the hum and messiness, and can spare more than 10 minutes a day to spend with this bird. ALL birds are messy -- and not just poops. All birds will dissolve their food -- one of mine will actually stick her head down into the bowl and root around, forcing seed to spill out around the sides. She also loves to give somebody a lift baths in any convenient water bowl.
The NOISE factor is something a lot of associates are NOT prepared for. If you're not noise-tolerant, do not get a bird. Even happy birds make resonance. And if you choose something like a conure, do research first because these are NOISY birds.
