2 spayed cat question? Not worried simply curious?
My two female cats just got spayed and I get them a Rabies to put them outside when they heal. Well I was merely curious to what a altered and unaltered rabies vaccine was. I mean it makes sense that one is genetically altered and one isn't be just wondering what is specifically altered in it. Oh this is another question have a feeling free to answer it if you want I put them in the bathroom final night to heal and this morning when I went to check on them in attendance was some pretty big, yellow, liquid puddle that be soaked into the towel, is it possible when coming out of the anesthesia they didn't take to it so well and puked. Cause they ate a little right after getting domestic. They seem to be acting normal though.Thank you so much!
(oh and I know I shouldn't of fed them lol they be just so hungry)
how would you like it whether your were spayed?
Call your vet and ask nearly the altered and unaltered rabies shots. Please post what he says because I have never heard a rabies shot call anything but a rabies shot whether the cat was altered or not. It's very possible the cat threw up after eating. Anesthesia can wreak nausea. This is why they aren't supposed to eat before surgery- so they don't throw up on the operating table and risk asphyxiation.
There is no difference in the rabies vaccination given to an altered vs. and unaltered cat. The rabies qualification may, however, indicate whether or not the cat is altered. This is used in some places for the purpose of registering a pet and some vets just include it on the rabies qualification so they don't have to make a separate certificate indicating that the cat is altered.
The pale puddle sounds like pee to me. Do they have a litter box in the room they're within? Are they accustomed to using a litter box? It could be that one of them peed outside of it because they were still groggy from the anesthesia. Vomiting is not unheard of after anasthesia, but it would probably contain some trace of the food if it's vomit. The fluid will usually be a little goopy or thick whether it's vomit, and won't be if it's pee.
altered vs. unaltered on the rabies certificate just states that yours are spayed. It have nothing to do with the vaccine itself.
as far as the yellow icky puddle - that be throw-up. It was yellow bile and water most predictable, and that happens sometimes after surgery. If you didn't really limit water intake when they get home, it could be the cause.
all these "how would you resembling to be spayed?" people = trolls. When you weigh the risks and benefits long-term of having your cat spayed, the benefits win.
and yes, I am "spayed". I felt crappy a few days but get over it and went on with my life. I am pretty certain your cats will do the same. LOL.
Answers: If it says "altered" or "unaltered" on your rabies certificate it simply system the animal is or isn't spayed/neutered ("altered" just being another word for it). A rabies vaccine is a rabies vaccine--there aren't different types that I'm aware of.
As for your second quiz, yes, anesthesia can make pets nauseated for a while afterward, and it's not uncommon for them to vomit the night after surgery.
