I have need of facilitate beside doggy potty training?
I have a male and female chihuahua. They're a year and know where on earth they are suppose to go to the bathroom,(outside) but I'm starting to go nuts because the male is a moment ago peeing everywhere for territorial reasons and the female is doing it now after she have her puppies.
I've tried puppy pads, keeping them on a time when they have to go potty, stop feeding/watering them until that time bed time, spankings and nothing is working. It's starting to take its tole on me and the house. What else is there to do? I love them greatly much and want them to learn.
I would definitly not spank them anymore.Itruly do believe that spanking works within some situations but this sounds like one that they dont understand.Just make certain all you do is pick them up,look them in the eye, and just transmit them no!!If you do ever get them to go once outside even whether you force them,make sure you give them a treat and permit them know what a good job theyve done.:)))
there is a consistent age where dogs learn their favorite place to do their business, and to be exact around 4 months. so your dogs learned to like going inside. it is possible to change the practice but you will have to work hard.
basically, hold them around you all the time, as soon as they look like they are about to pee contained by the house (sniffing around in circles), take them straight outside and when they pee out side, distribute a treat and praise the SECOND they pee outside, the longer the delay (even 2 seconds) the smaller quantity likely they are to realize the treat is for peeing, and not whatever else they just did.
Cage him! I had my dog going form treatise trained to outdoors in a week by using a cage (dog crate). They don't go contained by their own cage. Good luck.
The most effecting way to resolve that problem is take both fixed as soon as possible. For some reason after the surgery they do not pee everywhere and the male do not feel the obligation to mark their territory.
Answers: You should have gotten a cat, they use the litter box.
