What do i nurture kittens?
i recently found a baby stray cat. we took it home and showered it and stuff but i wont put away the fish i give it. what should i feed it? she seems too small to chomp through cat food
milk. If she is very little you may need to agree to her lick drops of milk off a turkey baster until she is old enough to devour solid foor about 5-10 days.
You could call the vet and see whether they know anyone with a cat that recently had a litter that might be inclined to foster your kitten. You will want to take it to the vet right away, anyway, to create sure it's healthy and get any shots it may entail. The vet can tell approximately how old it is and if it is still awfully young, you may have to get a cat milk substitute which the vet can offer you or you can buy at the pet store.
What u want to do is mix a lot of mushy cat food with a little complex food. As the cat gets bigger put more hard food in and smaller quantity mush food out. It's like a baby with a bottle.
I would try some milk-cat milk, you can buy it at the pet store or grocery store.Don't give cow's milk. You can also try a little can cat food.If it won't eat or drink anything I would cart it to the vet ASAP,something could be wrong
Answers: The first thing you need to do is get the kitten to a vet for a checkup. The vet will know how to tell you about how old the kitten is. This is defining because the kitten's age will make a difference in what he/she needs to be drinking right now. If the kitten is under 6 weeks old, it will necessitate to be fed from a bottle with kitten milk replacement. If the kitten is over 6 weeks, it will be fine to offer the milk replacement contained by a saucer, as well as introduce some wet (canned) kitten food. So, without knowing the age of the kitten it's difficult to utter what you should be feeding it. Two big no-no's right now are cow or goat milk and food intended for humans. Cats can't digest cow/goat milk and human food can make them below par. If your vet is already closed, use a (cleaned) medicine dropper or medicine syringe to give the kitten dampen and keep it hydrated. Then get to the vet first thing contained by the morning. If your vet is still open today, take the kitten on surrounded by now. They'll see you on an emergency basis. They'll be able to tutor you what you'll need to do to help the kitten.
If you surmise she's old enough for fish, she's old ample for kitten food. If she's too young for kitten food, kitten replacement milk should be used.
i only use wet food in issues similar to this put a small pinch on your finger and open her mouth and place it on her tongue and hold her month closed until she swallows and repeat they also make mike for cats it's not formula my sister in statute had this problem with a kitten that was matured enough to eat food she was domestic sick get kitten food hard put water on it it till its soft but whether she is too young get kitten formula mix it up and make her lick it up instead of bottle feed becasue she might get hooked and start to suck on other things as she gets older resembling my one cat would try to nurse off my neck when he wanted attention at 5 years ripened
Kitten chow (Purina). If it's really young, there's kitten formula and kitten-size bottles you can purchase at any decent pet supply store, resembling Petco.
