Help me next to my Chi to run do his trade within the rainfall?
how can I take my dog out in the rain whether he does not like it and refuses to go? I own a Chi, and love him but he is stubborn!
I have puppy paper on the floor contained by the bathroom for my little "fur baby" Chihuahua. She and I "go" at the same time.
Don't blame your Chi. You don't want to stand in the rain any! Chi's need to stay warm and dry to stay healthy.
Have you tried putting on a rain coat yourself and keeping your dog on a leash, putting up an umbrella (make certain you don't scare him with it) to keep him covered from the rainfall. My yorkie 4.5 was that way as a pup...now you can't hang on to her out of the rain, she looks for the biggest puddle and jumps! Good luck. Also, when you are taking your dog out just speak gently "go potty outside". and just be merciful...cooing little sweet things, when he goes praise him like crazy. It's tricky to relax the muscles when your tense...
Answers: You are the boss, the dog can not refuse. At least that is the process it should be. Put a leash on him and walk him till he goes.
I own 9 dogs. Three of them refuse to go outside within the rain. I just clean it up. It is easier than trying to put stress on the dog.
