How can i brand name a Dog trust me?

Hey, I have a dog at home and my relatives always love to bring their dogs over as okay, they hardly ever get along except for one item, they don't trust me when i try to pick them up. But thats not all, whenever i go to a new friends house, even whether the dog has never seen me b4 its still afraid of me! Why is this and what can i do about it.

Thanks!

tell him that you will love him forever and would never do anything to hurt him intentionally. and that he can ask you anything and that doesn`t matter what he tells you will be kept between the two of you...you will never lie to him or do things behind his support that he would not like...promise to never cheat on him and that you are his best friend and he should trust you more than anyone else in this world...if that don't work, you're on your own buddy..
Answers:    Okay, it is clear that you don't know much approximately dog communication, but that is nothing to be ashamed of.
Many people hold been driving a car for decades and they still know virtually zilch about what's going on inside the engine, gearbox and EFI system.

Staring at-, leaning over-, walking directly towards (in a straight line) a dog is often perceived as threatening. And so is attempting to pat a dog with the palm face down and even more so if moving straight to the top of the dog's head. If the dog has ever be smacked before, then it's quite possible that every fast hand movement is a rather daunting experience at first. Of course, biting commands (growly voice) can also be quite intimidating.

I recommend you learn a bit something like calming signals and training using positive reinforcement methods and avoid harsh traditional methods.

Perhaps a great start is to have a look at Turid Rugaas's website:

Follow the 'articles' connection and there's also tonnes of general dog problem solving info if you follow the 'Q and A' link.

If you individual ever read one dog book and can afford a few bucks, her book "On talking terms with dogs, soothing signals" is a great investment.
It's cheap and not that bulky. You can probably read through it in a couple of days and you'll learn to understand things such as why so oodles dogs snap at each other.

People always want dogs to understand them, but they also should know a entity or two about dog communication.
Whatever situation arises, you ALWAYS have a choice how you react... You can choose to stroke calming or you can choose to act threatening. If you learn to perform calming, any dog will eventually learn to trust you.

Good luck.

walk it and run it
food.
tell it all your secret
perhaps your energy is wrong, be confident, bent down on their level and dont move towards them and have some cheese cubes surrounded by your hand or something, always wait for them to come to you, even within the street, you must hold out your hand to let them sniff and lick you before you step to pet them, plus it's less daunting if you pet their chest instead of their head! appropriate luck ;)
do slow actions
