How do i engender her listen and in control down minister to?
i have a 17 month old staffie she is a wonderful dog does have her moment when she pushes her luck i enjoy a 4yr old and a 2year old and she adores them my problem is she is deeply energetic she has two 30/40 min walks A sunshine and is calm in the house when it is just us the ancestral but if a visitor comes she IS so ott excited jumping on them she will stop wen i enlighten her but 5min later she will do it again can last up to an hour i dont want to ut her in another room as this within the long run wont work any suggestions please
You can get a pet gate and confine her to one room or to half the house absent from visitors. Or put her on leash and use this as a training time for obedience and socialization training.

Train her to do a down stay and enforce it throughout the visitors stay. Or you could put her contained by a kennel with a nice kong toy to chew on. She may start looking forward to visits from guests so she can get some chewing time surrounded by.
Teach her to stay down. When she is jumping on someone, have them put their hands within an X across their hips. I know we were using this when my "beagle" who happened to look more like a fox hound when he be done growing. It started to work, until he eventually got out and got hit by a car. When she is have her moments, and doesn't seem to be listening to you, put her on her back and hold her in that until she quits moving, making eye contact with her the entire time. If you have to straddle her you have to. I know your probably thinking omg put her on her rear? I have had to do this with my Pit when I first get him, it does nothing more then show them that YOU are the alpha male and that YOU are the one surrounded by control and that THEY must obey you. It works. Mine now knows, that when he does something he shouldn't be doing (chasing the kitty etc) adjectives i have to do is look at him, and he knows he better stop! (or of course he get a stern talking to, and if it don't stop on the final he goes!)

You can also teach a "go to your place." A crate, blanket, or only just an area will work. You can google how to do it if you are interested.
Keep up the walks,its a great way for them to burn vitality.I used a plastic squirt gun and put lemon juice in it and when my dog started to get unruly I give him a burst in the mouth and snout region, and told him NO.It sounds like the same exact point my dog was doing and after squirting him a few times he got the point and acted good.After a few company he stopped,but my friend tried the same thing with his pit-bull and he like the lemon juice,and even chewed up a gas can,but I think thats how he got his nickname (marbles)
get a stick and tell her no and if she keep on doing it hit her lightly and tell her no then keep hold of on doing it teel she listens
