HELP!!
I would keep her within the cage to be safe.
It's really unlikely that you will catch worms from your dog. You don't have to keep her locked contained by a cage.
The way to prevent her from getting worms again is to worm her regularly. The vet will give you the right advice and you can buy the worming tablets while you are there.
Actually most kids do get worms frequently, but they are not like peas in a pod worms your dog has. Kids get threadworms. Itchy bottoms are a sign that kids have worms.
Answers: You can let her out of her enclose. Keep her poop cleaned up right after she goes, and get some deworming medicine ASAP. You and your kids won't capture worms from her. Don't let the kids handle the poop. Deworm her every month or every other month to keep her parasite free.
Just keep the poop picked up.
How cruel, departing a dog in a cage. Why hasn't she been treated for this? Someone mentioned store bought cr(a)p. Do not self medicate. You noticeably don't care that much for your dog, otherwise this problem would have been taken vigilance of before.
cant you just pass your dog worming tablets. from the local supermarket/
