I have a crazy little dog now. I love her. I could not have gotten a more spotless dog if I had been looking. Even the vet call her to cute.
I'm sorry you lost your dog. A lot of people don't understand how frozen it is to lose a dog. Do not get another dog until you are ready. Actually, getting a puppy or another dog when you are in a adjectives state of mind can result in your dog having behavior problems, particularly if they are a dominant dog. They will sense that you are emotionally weak and will feel the stipulation to take your place as a dominant dog. You will know when you are ready though. Also, my local shelter has a supoprt group for ancestors who have lost dogs. You might want to see if yours does. If not ask a vet. They might know of a group that can help you.

I lost my Gunther to diabetes back surrounded by March 2007 two months later a siamese kitten pretty similar to him was on our porch. She was markedly hungry . My husband brought her in the house and we fed her. I thought it was a boy so I name it Junior and quickly learned it was a girl and I call her Angel. I named her that because I say that Gunther came from glory and sent her to me.
She's my princess. She even blessed us with beautiful kittens. :0)
I'm so sorry. That's so difficult. My familial had a Golden Retriever who had lymphoma (type of cancer) and died at only 4 years. We have a really tough time after, but then we got another dog about a year after that and we love him so much! It may sound like a betrayal to get another dog, but it really help! Just try to remember all the great times you had with her. Once again, I'm so sorry =(
Of course. That's normal. I have lots of dogs, but when I lost my favorite German Shepherd show/schutzhund dog, who my grandkids rode like a pony...I be depressed for 2 years.
I still think of Fero.
I'm sure our dogs are in a at ease place, wanting us to be happy. But we still mourn our loss.
I am so sorry for your loss
the hardest part about losing a dog is that too many associates dont understand how hard it is! you lost a member of your family unit and it's going to be hard but it will get easier with time. i'm so sorry for your loss

Sorry about your loss. This will take some time to get over but it does find easier every day.
When your ready go adopt another one, within are a lot of large black dogs that need a domestic.
Answers: Come up with a poster that has written stories of your times with her, pictures, etc. You will enjoy it with you forever and you can just look at it when you are feeling woeful. Everyone has that feeling when they loose someone close. Things will get easier next to time.
P.S. I don't suggest getting another pet for a while until you feel you've moved on and are ready. You can sometimes hurt your emotion even worse by having another animal replacing the other.
I'm so sorry for your loss!
buy a untried puppy, preferably a weiner dog or a jack russell terrier. Something to sit on your lap and snuggle you.
