Coryadoras examine??
I picked up two juleii corys today, and I came home to do somewhat more research on them. Are they rare? I found next to nothing on them on the internet. Also, they appear a little standoffish. It may just be because they are new, but they won't mix next to either my albinos or my emerald cory. Is this just a investigational fish thing?
They're also really good at being still. They don't move their mouths, or blink that regularly. I floated them, don't worry. It's not that. Is this normal for them?
Answers: Congrats on the new fish! I don't find Julii corys to be that uncommon actually, my fish store gets them in every so normally. I find that 2 different species of corys don't generally mix as much as 2 fish of the same species, it may happen, but it is smaller quantity likely. My bronze corys always like to basically sit still for a couple hours or so, I once read somewhere that it means that they are healthy.
Just a heads up... fish don't blink ;)
Also, those are manifestly true julii corys.
Good Luck!
I hope this helps!
Jullis are really great once they are adapted to their surroundings which could take up to a week. Just be certain to keep dropping in a sinking algae wafer or veggie cracker. It is also normal for fish of different colors but same species to not schoal or mix very much.
