Pleco Problem, What should I do to comfort it?
I bought my pleco a month ago. It seems to be healthy lately and it eats the sinking pellet that I feed him at night. But just at the moment my, pleco seems to be keep on going up the tank, resembling floating upward. It is not spending its time on the aquarium floor as before. When It is sticking to the glass, it's tail tends to turn up so he's upside down when sticking to the glass. What should I do then? I'm concerned of the fact that he is sticking to the chalice all of the time, as before, he usually spends his time between my big shell ornaments.
Answers: How huge is your tank and what are the ammonia, nitrite and nitrate levels. This info will help. Pleco's return with very large and require a highly filter tank. Most Pleco's will grow to about 2ft. If kept in a cistern that is too small, it will stunt its physical growth. The fish may still be small, but the internal organs continue to try to develop. This will cause plenty of problems near your fish, so you may have to do some research and be sure that you have the proper housing for your fish=
