What can step near my lonely severum within my 120?
I have a 3'' turquoise severum in a 120. Hes very lonely what can I put near him??
Other mild south american cichlids. Another severum, blood parrots, flag cichlids, kribs, keyholes. You may even be able to own a couple angels with them.
I wouldn't get a pleco. They are fifthy fish. A couple featherfins would be OK, are not dirty and get more or less 6 inches.
Anything that is plausible peaceful should be a good tankmate for your severum, even though he may be aggressive with other cichlids. I'd recommend something larger, approaching a silver dollar, congo tetra, or hatchetfish. All of these will grow at a rate about the same as your severum, so that they will not become food-sized, but are reasonably quiet and unlikely to provoke him.
