Which is truly better a nano FOWLR reservoir or a nano reef container?
I was considering a nano reef but than i thought how this is my first nano tank and i don't want to lose more than five $30+ corals but I'm not sure what do you guys devise?
i would do fish with live rocks since you have to feed corals and stuff and use expensive lights you could obtain dome leather corlas or mushrooms or any soft coral would work if you want to get them
The number of fish you can keep in a nano is going to be particularly small. I would go for a reef tank. Also instead of buying new look around for your local reef club and return with a used setup.
A nano reef would be better. More to look at different color rics and zooanthids.
I personaly like the nano reef tank.
Answers: Really, nano FOWLRs are kinda pointless. You'll only be able to put one or two small fish in nearby, so it will look empty.
You won't lose anything if you do it right. Do a lot of research, cycle the cistern properly, and add coral slowly. As long as you keep up on your maintenance, put together sure you have the proper filtration and lighting, the reef will be much more rewarding, and not that much more work. Start with simply a couple corals, and after you see they are doing good, add to your tank. Rome wasn't built surrounded by a day.
