Is within any tips to take a horses tail long and think>?
I've always wash their tails often, kept them braided and in a tail case.
There are a few things you can do...
1- hold the tail clean and tangle free - use conditioners so that when u brush the tail you dont rip the hair out as i.e. just thinning out the tail..
2- once the tail is clean and detangled, plait the tail up from the bottom of the dock down, this will keep the tail together and prevent your horse from getting it caught on things and ripping it out... it also vehicle your horse can still use his tail to sho flys, I do not like tail bags as they prevent the horse using its tail as it should. They also tend to just be pulled out as they annoy most horses alot.
Good luck... it will just take time to help your horses tail grow down.
tail rucksack. I keep it on all winter long but then hold to take it off in the summer because of the bugs. I enjoy a paint whos tail just would not grow and I used a tail bag and it grew about a foot longer.
I agree near the second poster about MTG and cowboy magic. I hold used both. I find cowboy magic makes it really shiney and soft. I find MTG really does work but it smells kinda bad and it tend to be really oily but some how it does the job.
there's nought you can just put in it and it will automatically grow thicker. a good conception if he is rubbing it is to use a tail bag. you can also cut it to the tailbone and have it grow within thicker during the winter. if you keep it clean next to good conditioning shampoos, it will grow healthy. there might also be supplementary shampoo or eatable supplements for this.
Answers: The best way is to keep it clean. A verbs tail will grow faster and better and will not brake like a dirty tail will. I personally do not like tail lots. I find that either the tail comes out or the trail hairs will brake.
Also products like Cowboy Magic and MTG work wonders on tail and mains. I use it on my reiners and they have mane past their shoulders and their tail drag the ground and are very thick.
Here is a picture of one of my reiners a few years ago. Now it is past her shoulder.

Tail bag! Especialy surrounded by the winter and keep it clean and conditioned as well as hold the knots out with show sheen.
The biggest thing is to hang on to the tail clean and unknotted. Our show horses' tails are cleaned and combed daily. To prevent breaking the spike, the tails are sprayed with Show Sheen or Cowboy Magic Detangler. The SS is used for hunters since it washes out well (and thus doesn't aggravate the braiders), while the CM is used on the jumpers who don't get braided anyway.
For horses next to scraggly or thin tails, MTG can help advance the quality. Sometimes we bag the horses' tails, but since they show 80% of the year, it's tough to disappear the tail in the bag long enough to spawn a difference. Clean and fungus-free is the main thing. And some horses, like individuals, will always have thin or fine pelt. For those, it helps to invest in a double-thick fake tail.
i have never tried tail bagging it but i don't like mtg
