How to go for a dip a hedgehog??
Hi,I'm thinking about getting a hedgehog, so I'm reading up on them as much as I can. I have a few questions though. Is Aveeno unscented Oatmeal Body Wash okay for them? How should I apply the body wipe? Also, How do I pick them up?
Answers: Aveeno is a great choice for hedgehog bathing, as long as you use a mild, tearless baby formula.
Fill your sink with almost an inch of warm (not hot) water. Pick your hedgehog up by slipping both hands underneath its stomach and freshly scooping it up. Don't hesitate- the hedgehog will sense your uncertainty and tense up. Place the hedgehog in the sink.
Squirt some of the shampoo/body valet on an old toothbrush and gently massage it into the hedgehog's quill. This helps clean the quills and remove limp skin from between the quills. Rinse the hedgehog thoroughly with warm river. Wrap the hedgie in a towl and snuggle it until it is completely dry.

You cannot possibly get a hedgehog! they are wild animals!
You will a short time ago kill it! they need to be in the frantic, eating bugs and larvae. and even if you do own and excuse to have one, don't bathe it unless advised by a SPCA officer or veterinarian.
