What is better, a labrador retriever or a golden retriever?
i am planning to get a puppy, and i was considering two breeds, either a golden retriever or a labrador retriever? i want an involved and playful dog who will guard and defend my house from strangers. i also want a dog who doesn't leave too much hair lying around. conceivably only medium hair, and that's adjectives.
well. they both do a disinterested share of shedding but believe me. a lab or a goldie wont be a good guard dog. their too friendly. maybe you should get a german shepherd, or a rottweilier. they are sweet, and they will guard your house.
a dog for you is a labrador they are surrounded by a lot of to 10s click on these websites see how good they are and the golden retriever is in some:

and whether you can't make up your mind get a mix breed of golden retriever and labrador retriever mix breed routine making puppies of one of them is a golden and one is a lab and they make babies or you could buy a mix on craigslist
Answers: well, guard dogs aren't a good idea. receive a security system. and normally I would say goldens are opening better than any breed ever. I do have prejudice against labs because I have a friend that has one i.e. so annoying. he was raised by them from a puppy, not abused, but he is really skiddish, and hes really rough. Im not saying adjectives are like that, but the one I know is. but since you specifically said no shedding, I would think the obvious answer would be a lab. but whether you want the attitude of a golden without any shedding AT ALL (not one hair) I suggest a golden doodle. they are a golden poodle cross. but the benefits in the golden situation greatly outweigh the hackle. and this is my personal opinion, but I think the golden is the most gorgeous dog on earth.
If you want the dog to guard your house, don't draw from a golden. They will just lick the intruder to death. But if your looking for a dog that will become your best friend whether you give them a treat, then a goldens great :D
One of my 2 brothers has a Golden retriever and one has a lab retriever! They both think that their breeds are brilliant!
they both are. but the reflect with golden retrievers is that they tend to shed a lot and some have greatly of health problems as well. But they are both greeat breeds. Ive had one of respectively.
golden all the way! I enjoy one and she is the best. Yes... they shed a lot but if you want a good dog do not platform that of its shedding! They are good obeyers and are just so good! so trust ME not the others be bring i have one. besides labs shed too, do not act like goldens are the individual dogs that shed! so trust me you will be a lot happier if you choose a golden. hope i helped :)
I say labrador retriever. They are easier to train, and one of the smartest dogs known to man kind.
