Ahhh crickets everywhere abet ?
My mom went to the pet store to get some crickets today ,and she get 30 crickets for my geckos but thats way to much so i gave 8 to one of my geckos and 7 to the smaller gecko and was going to liberate the rest (15) for tommorrow but when i came home from dinner the bag that have the crickets was opened and all 15 crickets where on earth gone
MAIN POINT
how do i get rid of them ?
will they lay eggs?
how long will it take them to die ?
will they ruin any of my belongs ?
heard that they will drink clothing
Why don't you just let your geckos loose surrounded by the room? I'm sure that they can catch them all.
Unfortunattaly this happened to me to but on a massive scale. We used to breed out own sort of, and besides they all got out once and im talking 300-400 of them. They wont really hurt anything expecially that small amount. There are crickets everywhere intrinsically where I live and they dont really hurt. They will eat some stuff but not the way you are thinking. They will die speedily and I highly doubt that they will lay eggs. You can either use bug bombs, or just dawdle
Answers: As the others have said, they'll just die of dehydration, hunger or weak age.
They won't harm any of your belongings, and no, they're extremely unlikely to breed.
What age they were when they escaped will play a part surrounded by how long they take to die. If they're tiny, like first or second moult, next they're far more sensitive to their environment and will die off pretty quickly.
If they're full grown adult cricks they're hardier, but their entire lifespan is one and only around 6 weeks, so you shouldn't have long to wait until old age get them.
If they're around 3-4 weeks old (roughly half an inch) that would probably be the worst age for them to have escaped, as they're not too fragile and still enjoy a good few weeks of natural lifespan left.
What you may find annoying is that they'll chief for somewhere warm and dark (like behind the refridgerator) and consequently those that are old enough may start chirping really loudly periodically (mating call) and there's no way to take to them and it can be really hard to ignore...especially when the house is serene, at night.
Yeah my boyfriend is no longer allowed to feed our bearded dragon because he other lets a few crickets loose accidentaly haha. Anyway they don't last long, my cats usually chase them and I find the rest late and shriveled up under my bed or in my laundry pile, pretty gross but don't wory they wont harm anything only just sleep with your mouth closed ;)
haha the same thing happend to me, but the crickets didn't accedently escape, I let them out. Because I be freaking out! My little baby savannah monitor got loose, but after a couple of weeks, I found him running after one in my front room. I be sooo happy I got my little back! But he be kinda mean after it, but now he is just fine.( after some handling, and love). But the crickets I consent to out, I found most of them all dead. The others were running around, but my cat have a good time chasing them.
Well yeah
