When do i turn bad my beardies lights?
Got myself a bearded dragon and was wondering when do i turn off his lights? Does he requirement anything at night to stop him getting to cold?

you turn ur UV light off and on every 12 hours, turn ur bask light off b4 u go to bed and give up your heat lamp on all the time unless he starts to widen his mouth and looks like he is panting then i would turn it off
Get into the routine of turning them on when you rouse up and off before you go to bed. He won't requirement a heat lamp at night unless the container gets below 70 degrees F. If it does, get a steam pad or get a night time bulb (the red ones) to hang on to him warm. Cheers.
Answers: i have mine on a 12hr on 12hr bad timer that automatically turns them on and off. at night depending on the room you keep them contained by you wont need much heat tho if it does bring could think about a ceramic furnace that will stay on 24hrs for heat don't get to high of a wattage whether you already have a heat source. i would stay away from bake rocks they are horrible and you baby could burn on them. a heat pad underneath the coop may be another alternative. make sure you have a stash for him to go in at night to.
You should do your day time lights in a mundane cycle, 12 on 12 off. You can but a red or blue night heat storm lantern for the night time if needed. But you only hold to do that if their cage gets underneath around 75 at night.
Always leave the light on.

Under one side of the tank have a warmness pad that keeps it about 80F over at hand. On the other side have his basking light, offer him 12 hours of light and 12 of dark, keep the heat pad on 24/7. It will keep him warm ample during the night.
keep the lights on during the hours of daylight, turn them off at night. let's say when you be in motion to bed.
i got my bearded dragon's lights programmed so every morning at 7:30 the lights turn on and every night a partially hour after sun set the lights turn off. Its been working fine for me.
