my fave hammy names ruby died and i miss her.any ideas of what i can do to get over it(its gonna be hard)
It is easier than you think to get over a pet.
Aw hon, I am so sorry. I bet Ruby was a great gal. I know you miss her and you will for a while but it does get better with time. If you contemplate you'd like to, have a little memorial ceremony for her. Read a poem, or convey up a helium balloon in her honor, make a donation to a local shelter, paint a rock with her moniker and keep it in the garden or on your shelf etc. Mark her death by celebrate her life. Get lots of hugs.

I would find a new hamster (better yet one that looks nothing resembling Ruby), not to replace Ruby, but as a distraction. It will help you get your mind rotten things. I was a wreck after my cat died. Look at some pictures, and remember her. Maybe a scrapbook could help?
I also agree with the being above, write a poem, or send up a ballon. Maybe that will help. I'm sorry you lost your little baby.

Maybe try to get another pet. I would most likely suggest a dog. The best breed would probably be a Bichon Frise. I hold one right now and she is so amazingly cute and sweet. They also don't get very hulking. I suggest that you don't get another hamster until a few months, or until you feel approaching you are over it.

Nothing you can do... a moment ago miss her grieve and then it will get better. After a while find a new little one to love and you won't be so sad. Losing pets are a sad thing but purely think of it this way.at least you have her to enjoy for a while...everything is a temporary thing contained by life.when your ready go to the pet store.Sorry shes gone and you're heartbreaking.<3
well try to keep yourself engaged so you don't think of your pet thats what i did when my dod named raider died presently all my passwords for things noline have his name surrounded by it. ( he was named raider because he have black silver and white fur.) try what i tryed.

i am very sorry more or less your loss i had an albino rat who died in octuber and i am still sad. burry him surrounded by your yard. if you are still sad hang around to get a new one or strat raiseing another type of animimal or grow plants.

I felt like that too when my hamster Pogo died. You can overcome it by spending time at Ruby`s grave thinking of all the appropriate times you had with her.
ok first don't shift any buy a new hamter wait a little bit and see how you touch this has happpend to me when you see your new one it would be even harder for you because it will remind you of ruby so what i did is after i think i could contol my self i go to the petstore a looked that them if i felt like part of a set of my heart was missing adn really upset i left i kept doing this untill i feel better(it will still be sad a like a peace of you is missing but it will make well and only be a tiny crack. Alos i like what sorry i can't rember her name but sort a scarpe book and have it on your shelf so if you are strong enough you can look though. no that it was for the better because (she be old? sock? etc.?) i got over my dog caus ei new it be for the better..write about her, cry bout her, talk about her...writng poetry REALLYhelped me...discern better!

Making a scrap book or youtube video compilation is a great way to memorialize your hammy.
I will offer you my beliefs and experiences as consolation, if you do not share any of my beliefs I hope it can still comfort you:

They can come back to this earth as your subsequent pet (this is something that happens very often) or wait for you to elapse for you to both be in the same realm together.
If you are start to these ideas you can always try to find a reiki practitioner in your nouns or an expert who works in past lives or a psychic. Always look for references whether you decide to find a psychic as there are a lot of bogus psychics out in that. [I can always help you if needed]

The soul doesn't run away forever at death.
The energy a soul brings into the body can not die, contained by physics it is explained that energy doesn't just disappear it has to be in motion somewhere.
Take comfort in knowing your hammy has not disappeared she have just moved on, on her journey and you will meet again soon. :)
Honor your hamster by remembering adjectives that she tought you, consider why she was brought into your life and what you learned from her. This can be a great starting point for a scrapbook.
Honor her endorsement by celebrating her life.
Mourn her passing but remember to verbs [not to forget her], to slowly stop mourning her death and make the transition to celebrating it as a division of her journey.
Make sure you get adjectives those tears out though, cry whenever you feel it or the sadness will stay with you much longer.
It take a while but you will soon be able to speak of her with no pain and singular happiness.

I'm sorry. I had a hamster for 3 years. I was so close to it. When I moved away from my weak school my hammie came with me. ^-^ But it died just this minute. Very sad. Its hard to get over. It freshly takes time. I'm sorry about your hammie.
